Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle yet potent way of working with the body using a light touch which supports your body’s innate ability to balance, restore and heal itself.
It is carried out while you remain fully clothed, usually lying on a couch if that’s comfortable for you, while the practitioner uses a soft touch to ‘listen’ to your body and invite it to make the changes it needs.
It is gentle, respectful and supportive, with an emphasis on you feeling safe and comfortable at all times.
Many people find Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy helps them deal with stress and promotes a feeling of profound relaxation. It can also help to facilitate shifts for people looking to make changes in their life, and to support people who are coping with unlooked-for and unwanted life changes and transitions.
While it is not intended as primary healthcare it can work alongside conventional medical treatment, and can also support and complement talking therapies and other complementary approaches such as acupuncture and homeopathy.
As Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is so gentle it is suitable for people of any age: there is no lower or upper age limit.
Every person’s experience is different, but after a session many people report that they feel calm, energised, with increased clarity of mind and a feeling of well-being.
The Craniosacral Therapy Association accredits practitioners who have undertaken an approved course of training, are in continuing professional development and adhere to the Association’s code of ethics and standards of practice.
Valerie Peden is the practitioner for this therapy.
