Reflexology

Reflexology is a natural healing science which deals with the principle that there are reflex points in the feet, hands, face and ears that correspond to each and every part of the body. Stimulating these reflexes properly, using gentle pressure and massage, can help many health problems in a natural way. In some indefinable way we work through the nerve pathways thus creating an energising effect from the tips of our toes through the nervous system and culminating in the brain.

The method of reflexology is used primarily for relaxing tension. It is known that at least 75% of all diseases are caused by stress. Reflexology improves nerve and blood supply and helps the body restore and maintain homeostasis (equilibrium).

Only the hands are used in giving a treatment, making it a safe, simple yet effective method of healing without the use of modern-day drugs.

Reflexology is suitable for all ages from babies to adults.

Reflexology can be confidently used in treating most everyday problems, such as:

  • Asthma
  • Migraine
  • PMT
  • Sinus conditions
  • Constipation
  • High blood pressure
  • Depression
  • Ear, nose and throat conditions
  • Back conditions

Reflexology does not diagnose or cure but can support people living with illness.

Facial Reflexology

Facial reflexology is often called the ‘Natural Face lift’. Not only does it have all the benefits of foot reflexology in relaxing the body and increasing the feeling of wellbeing and balance, but also improves circulation, releases muscle tension and results in a smoother and a brighter complexion.

As with foot reflexology, the first session will be slightly longer to enable me to gain as much information about your medical history so that your session is completely personalised to fulfil your needs. Subsequent sessions will consist of a 45 minute treatment, with time to relax before and after to discuss any sensitivities or reactions.
