Cranial Osteopathy

Cranial Osteopathy, is a very gentle yet potent mode of treatment which involves the whole body.

It is suitable from birth onwards for all ages and phases of life. It is a form of therapy in which the osteopath feels for a subtle rhythmical shape change [involuntary motion] that is expressed throughout all the tissues of the body. In assessing how this involuntary motion is being manifested in different areas and tissues, valuable information as to where the body is exhibiting strain or stress patterns is gained. This helps to build a picture of the underlying factors which may be influencing an individual’s recovery.

It is particularly suitable for babies, young children, pregnant women, and those who have had a history of trauma. People may prefer this approach if they do not wish for a vigorous treatment style.
