The term ‘Dietitian’ is protected by law and can only be used by degree-qualified experts who are regulated by the Health & Care Professions Council, an independent regulatory body for health professionals. They are the only nutrition professional regulated by law and governed by ethical codes to ensure they always work to the highest standards. They are bound by their professional code of conduct to only provide evidence-based nutrition advice.
